Hybrid events

Hybrid event checklist for speakers and audiences

Hybrid events need room production and online delivery to feel like one experience.

Hybrid event control room

A hybrid format works when the in-room audience, speakers and remote viewers all receive the right picture, sound and timing cues.

Plan the speaker view

Remote speakers need confidence monitors, clear return audio and a simple joining process. In-room speakers need to know where to look and how remote participants will appear.

Protect the stream

Confirm upload bandwidth, backup internet, encoder settings and recording paths. The streaming operator should monitor the outgoing feed, not only the control room preview.

Rehearse transitions

Run through remote joins, Q&A, slide handovers, audience microphones and backup communication before the event starts.
