Internet streaming setup: what to confirm before going live

A stable stream depends on signal flow, internet capacity, audio quality and active monitoring.

Live streaming should be planned like a broadcast path, not like a last-minute laptop connection. Every signal must be routed, encoded and monitored.

Measure real upload speed

Check the connection at the venue and leave enough headroom above the target bitrate. When possible, prepare a backup path through a separate provider.

Prioritize audio

Viewers forgive a simple camera angle faster than unclear speech. Route microphones properly, monitor the stream audio and confirm delay before the program starts.

Monitor the public feed

The operator should watch what the audience sees on the platform, not only the local program output.
